Air Force Bass Drum Heads They were works of art. The heads were painted by AF snare drummer Nevin Wise. Note the heads on the drums on each end of the photo show an eagle holding a bugle in one talon, a drum in the other. The building in the background is the barracks where the Corps members lived.
