The American Patrol drum and bugle corps was initially formed by former members of the St. Joseph’s of Batavia. They would spend the first two years building a booster club to help finance the corps.
In 1975, the Tri-Town Cadets fused into the Patrol’s organization to field a competitive corps. That season saw them participate in “Class A” competition at the American International Open (AIO), placing 18th and the US Open with a 19th position finish.
They reverted back to a parade and exhibition corps the following season before returning to “Class A” competitive status in 1977 with placings of 19th at the AIO and 21st at the US Open championships.
They disbanded in 1978.
