The Brooten High School Girls drum and bugle corps was formed in 1939 as part of the school’s curriculum. One of the corps directors over the years was Woody Hoiseth.
The corps was primarily a parade and exhibition group, performing in several events across the region over their 20+ years of existence, competing in the MN American Legion state championships in 1958 and 1959, placing 4th both seasons.
They disbanded in 1962.
