The Western New York Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps of Dunkirk, NY was initiated in 2004 by James Steffan, and Bob Teclaw later assisted by Jack, and Ed Kujawa pronounced (KWE-AVA) all from the Dunkirk-Fredonia area. Drum corps' in general was very active in Dunkirk for many years and the Western New York Alumni Drum Corps wanted to activate former members of inactive corps who were still interested in participating. The corps sported a modern look of a striking Blue uniform and participated in parades, concerts, exhibitions, community, and regional drum corps events. The corps unfortunately ceased operation in 2022 due to the passing of Ed Kujawa, the diminishing health of Jack Kujawa, and the high cost of operation.
