3e Regiment drum & bugle corps was formed in the fall of 1985 from the ashes of Illyade, who disbanded in the fall of 1984.

The corps ran under two distinct generations, the inaugural from 1985 to 1990 and the second from 1993 to 2000. In both generations, they were members of the FAMQ circuit.
In 1986, the corps was crowned the FAMQ “Class C” champions, moving up to the “Class B” division the following season and finishing in 7th place and winning the 1988 “Class B” championships.

The corps remained active in 1989 before returning to the field of competition with a 4
th position finish in the “Class B” circuit. The Regiment went inactive over the next two seasons when a new generation reorganized the unit in 1993 and competed at the FAMQ “Class B” circuit championships, finishing in 4th position.

In 1995, the corps improved to a 2
nd place finish in the “Class B” division and the following season went on their first tour in DCI “Division III” regional competition that included the Capital Open
(8
th place), the Canadian Open (14th place) and the Coast Guard Open (10th place).

1997 was the corps’ most successful competitive year when they qualified for the DCI “Division III” Finals, finishing in 4
th position followed by a 3rd place finish at the FAMQ “Division I” class. In 1998, they returned to the DCI “Division III" championships with a 10th place finish and won the FAMQ “Division II” championships.

The corps remained active over the next two seasons before disbanding in 2001.
