The corps was established in 1949 under the direction of Frank Dick. They were originally known as the Rouss Drum & Bugle Corps. The corps changed it's name several times from the Rouss Fire Company Drum & Bugle Corps to the Shamrocks and Knights of Erin. They formed a feeder corps called the Sparkeys in 1950 under the direction of Fred Jenkins.The corps disbanded after the Apple Festival in 1964.
