The Vaneck drum and bugle corps was formed when the Hôtesses “All Girls” drum and bugle corps went coed to form the Hôtes Hôtesses in the fall of 1973.
Under the leadership of Robert Guillemette as President of the corps, they competed at the 1974 FAMQ “class A” championships, placing 2nd and in 1975, under their new name, the Vaneck, finished
3rd at both the Canadian Nationals “Class B” finals and the FAMQ “Class A” championships.
In the fall of 1975, the corps merged with the 4e Brigade of St. Jérome to form the 4e Brigade Vaneck.
