Arc-En-Ciel “All Girls” drum & bugle corps was formed in the fall of 1972 from the ashes of the Laurentiennes “All Girls” corps.
They were initially a member of the FAMQ circuit and were active as a parade and exhibition corps their first two years. In 1975, they entered the field of competition in the “Class C” division of the FAMQ, placing 2nd at the championships.
Moving up to the “Class B” division the following season, the group joined the newly formed CQJA circuit and finished 13th in the championship preliminaries. They also participated at the FAMQ “Class B” championship prelims.
In 1977, the management team decided to go coed, although there were few male members initially. The “All Girls” version would be known as the "Arc-En-Ciel", who became a strong competitive corps within the activity.
