The Holy Child Royal Columbians drum and bugle corps was originally formed in July of 1972 as the Holy Family Marching 100, under the leadership of Lawrence Christiansen, at the request of Monsignor Francis M. Brennan of the Holy Child Parish of Eltingville.
After their initial season of parades and exhibitions, the corps entered the field of competition as members of the Garden State Circuit, placing 8th in 1974, & 10th in both 1975 & 1976. The corps was renamed the Holy Child Royal Columbians in 1977, competing in the Eastern States circuit.
They disbanded in 1978.
