The Twin Cities Explorers were formed in the fall of 1998 from the ashes of the North Metro Cadets (a drumline program) with the intent of joining the DCM and DCI summer tours in 1999. The corps had some strong winter rehearsals, but after the departure of the director the corps would only last for two more rehearsals and folded before they could take the field.
