The Grenadettes “All-Girls” drum and bugle corps was formed in 1976 as a feeder corps to the Emerald Grenadears.
From 1977 to 1978, the unit performed as a parade and exhibition group before entering the field of competition as members of the Garden State Circuit, placing 5th in 1979, 8th in 1980 & 6th in 1981, within the “Intermediate Class”.
In 1982, the Grenadettes reorganized as the Emerald Grenadears, after the Emerald corps went inactive in 1981.
