The Comets “All-Girls” drum and bugle corps was originally founded in the fall of 1965 through the reorganization of the Immaculate Conception (IC) Rockettes-Comets and became the feeder corps for the IC Rockettes.

The Comets were a member of the “Class C” Eastern Massachusetts circuit and in their inaugural season, performed in parades and exhibitions, entering the field of competition, finishing 2nd in the 1967 Eastern Massachusetts (E-Mass) championships. In 1968, the corps returned to the E-Mass “Class C” championships, finishing in 5th position before going inactive for the 1969 season. In 1970, the IC Comets returned to the field of competition in the E-Mass “Class C” division but didn’t qualify for the championships that year.

The following season, the corps finished with the same result. In the fall of 1971, the Comets found new sponsorship with the Knights of Columbus (K of C) and changed their name to the Knights of Columbus Comets “All-Girls” corps. In 1972, the K of C Comets finished in 3rd position at the E-Mass “Class C” championships and competed the next two seasons at the prestigious World Open championships, finishing 27th in 1973 and 28th in 1974 in the “Class B’ division. In 1975, the corps became a self-supporting organization and performed as the Comets parade corps.

They merged with the Rockettes in 1976 to form Arbella "All-Girls".
