The Bluegrass Ambassadors drum & bugle corps was originally organized conceptually in the fall of 1981 by Michael Connett, a former manager of the Buccaneers of Dayton and Larry Visnic, a former member of the Golden Knights of Southgate.
The corps didn’t materialize that year but after building a foundation, succeeded in forming a corps. They competed in the “Class A” division preliminaries at the US Open, Key to the Sea and DCI Midwest championships, finishing in 29th, 31st and 18th respectively.
Unfortunately, the corps only fielded that one year before disbanding in 1984.
