The Eruption drum and bugle corps was formed originally formed in 2013 as a free afterschool percussion ensemble at Peninsula High School in Gig Harbor with 12 members by Ryan Mclain representing the Pacific Northwest.
In the fall of 2013, the corps began recruiting and entered the field of competition, sporting their red, black and white uniforms, in 2014 & 2015, participating in DCI Pacific circuit contests. In 2016 & 2017, the Eruption reorganized as an indoor competitive percussion.
They disbanded in 2018.
