Fusion

The Fusion drum and bugle corps was formed in 1982 through a merger between the Greece Cadets and Patriots, both of Rochester.

Although the corps only competed for one season, they travelled extensively with stops in the Drum Corps East circuit championships, placing 17th in the prelims, the American International Open, finishing 9^th in the finals, the DCI E “Class A” contest, where they once again finished in 9^th position and the New York State American Legion convention placing 2^nd  in the “Class A” division. Fusion went on to compete in the DCI “Class A” championship preliminaries finishing 22^nd.

After one season of competition, both organizations decided to separate at which time the Patriots returned as a self-sponsored corps while the Greece Cadets merged with the Gauchos of Fulton to form the Cadets of Upstate New York.
