Formed in 1969, the Krescendos represent Peterborough, Ontario, Canada and are self-sponsored by the various clubs and associations of Peterborough. The corps has 75 to 80 members. Titles include Ontario Novice Championship (1970), Junior B Championship of Ontario (1974), Canadian Novice Championships (1970), Canadian Junior B Championship (1974), and North American "B" Championship (1974). Musical Repertoire includes "La Fiesta," "Fascination Rhythm (drum solo), "La Bamba," "Slaughter on 19th Avenue," "Santa Esmerelda's," Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." Instructional Staff includes: Horns--S. Miller, P. Wilson, D. Thrower, T. Santomero; Drums--B. Robertson, P. Smith, P. Panter; M&M--G. Skipp; Color Guard/Rifles,--C. Cronley, V. Watkins; Corps Director--Gerry Hemsley; Business Manager--Phil Panter. Major source of income is bingo, an average of once fortnightly.
