The British Columbia Ambassadors drum and bugle corps were founded in February of 1967 by Jim McCorkell and Gordon Lindsay.
After the culmination of 1 ½ years of practice and fundraising, the corps participated in their first event at the Agriculture and Trade Fair parade in Richmond in June 1968. The following year saw the corps enter the field of competition as members of the Northwest Drum Corps Association (NWDCA) “Class C” circuit. They returned to NWDCA competition in 1970.
They disbanded in 1972.
