The Pretorian was a junior marching and maneuvering corps based in Flushing, Michigan. They formed in November 1966 following the split-up of the Flint-based Opti Cadets corps.
The Pretorian folded in the winter of 1972. Many members went on that summer to march with the Flint Guardsmen, which was the other corps that was formed from the Opti Cadets split-up.
Some of the Pretorian's music selections over the years were "St. Louis Blues/Tuxedo Junction Medley", "Hawaii Five-O," "Dragnet", "Angels Sing", "What Kind of Fool Am I"
You'll Never Walk Alone" and "You're a Grand Old Flag." Corps Director: Charlie Johnson, Horn Arranger/Instructor: Bob Cobb, M&M: Charlie Rice, and Drum Instructor: Rich Hogan.
